Review: Incredible! - True Calm is truly incredible! I wish I had known about this years ago when I suffered severe insomnia and had to take multiple prescriptions to get a good nights' sleep. Life has been a bit stressful for my husband and me lately and we often have trouble sleeping because we're up late thinking about work or whatever. Our minds are going crazy and once you get into that mindset, it is very difficult to fall asleep. I actually get stressed out about not being able to sleep, then it makes falling asleep even harder. Sometimes I take Tylenol PM, but I don't want to become reliant upon drugs to be able to sleep; I'd prefer something natural whenever possible. I found a supplement called Stress End at Super Supplements, which has worked well for me as well. I decided to check out what desertcart had to offer so I could get some reviews. That's how I stumbled upon True Calm. True Calm kicks in pretty quickly in almost a sedating wave. I can feel it coming on, relaxing me and making me feel tired, usually within 20 minutes of taking it. I get ready for bed and read for a few minutes, but usually I'm too tired to read for very long. I fall asleep hard and while I may wake up a couple times during the night, usually I feel like I've slept all night and it's only midnight. The instructions state to take 1-3 tablets a day, however with my results, I would never take except at bedtime. I have not tried it in the morning (maybe I will this weekend just to see how it affects me) but it slows me down and relaxes me so much, I feel like I wouldn't be able to perform at my peak during the day. Maybe really high strung people would be able to handle it, but I don't know if I could. My husband and I each take 1 at night about 30 minutes before bedtime. Sometimes I do feel a bit groggy in the morning, especially if I take it after 10PM, but I remedy that by laying in bed reading to slowly wake up. Then I'm fine. I've noticed that I do seem to feeler much calmer during the day as well. If you have ever suffered from insomnia or are experiencing excess stress in your life, I'd highly recommend trying True Calm as an alternative to medicines. Review: What a lifesaver! - I purchased this supplement about 2.5 months ago, but waited to try it for awhile before I gave it a review. I have used NOW Foods products in the past and have had good success, so when anxiety starting creeping in out of nowhere a few months ago, I went in search of a supplement I could take that would help and was happy to see this NOW supplement with good reviews. Because of my experience with NOW foods products, I was a no brainer for me. So....here I am 2.5 months later and I actually really feel like myself again.I was skeptical about if it was from this supplement or the calcium + magnesium supplement that I started taking from costco at around the same time, so a week or soI stopped taking the True Calm to see if I noticed a difference. For the first few days I didn't notice anything, but then, after about 5 days, our nowhere I started feeling incredibaly anxious again. It kind of just snuck in with no warning, just like it did several months back. I figured this was no coincidence and started taking the True Calm again and now once again I feel back to normal. I'm 37 years old and have never struggled with anxiety in my life until recently, so now understand just how debilitating and horrible it is.I feel such compassion for the people that have struggled with this every single day of their life with no relief. I just can't imagine. **Q: so is this like phenibut?**
A: Yes and no. The only real way to boost GABA levels in the brain is with phenibut. Taking straight GABA never actually crosses past the blood brain barrier. Instead it increases three different human growth factors (don't remember off the top of my head).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for me but taurine needs a warning for angina sufferers

I have had problems sleeping and found that melatonin and L-Tryptophan don't work for me. They cause stomach upset. I knew that valarian has worked for me in the past so when I read about this product I decided to give it a try. I like Now Food products and the price was right however I didn't notice that taurine was one of the ingredients. I have angina which I control very well with fish oil - in my case with 4 packets daily of Coromega Omega3 Squeeze Packets, Orange, 120-Count Which I buy via super saver on Amazon. However, taurine constricts the blood vessels so unless I take Vitamin E and the Coromega when I take the True Calm I experience mild angina symptoms.So be aware and research taurine for yourself. The good news is that I sleep very well with this product and don't mind going the extra mile to make it work. I may not buy it again and may go with another Valerian product but have a whole bottle which could last me a long time as I don't take this more than once or at most twice a week. I rarely have anxiety or stress to the point where I would need this during the day but do believe it has a relaxing affect and when used for sleeping I had normal dreams and awoke without doziness.
