Physically, the cable is excellent, it's braided, feels durable and as a decent length, it even has a handle little light to show when it is connected, so if you are on a budget it is a decent option. However, if you have an ultra wide monitor, or a monitor that supports high resolutions, need higher refresh rates, this might not be for you. For me, It struggled to output the full resolution of my ultra wide screen, as my Mac was unable to recognise my monitor, this left text looking pixelated and blurry. The refresh rate is capped at 60Hz, compared to a DisplayPort, using my Mac seemed sluggish, when in reality, it was just the monitor. For long work sessions, the pixelated text and slow refresh rate actually caused me some eyes strain and headaches, which isn't great for productivity. If you just need to connect to a standard TV, Projector, or just a monitor for casual use, this is a solid choice.
