Review: Great for intricate hand sawing of some stone slabs. - Quite thin but effective cutting softer to medium stone materials. I do lapidary and needed to do more intricate Freeform cuts on some stone slabs to make preforms before the finishing grinding process. I cut the diamond wire to lengths that fit my jewelers saw and sawed away to create various shapes on softer stones. Agates are much harder and would take a lot of work by hand sawing so I’d reccomend a powered trim saw on those. The diamond wire does wear but preformed well for me.
Review: Cuts Through Carbide - I was able to saw through a 1 inch piece of solid carbide using this stuff in a cheap jeweler's saw that I had laying around. It took a while, and definitely left my arm feeling tired, but I was very impressed that it was able to cut through it. I had a couple of wire breaks, I think I went through about four pieces, maybe two feet of wire to complete my job. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it.

A: It depends on what you choose. I chose the option of a roll of .3 mm, a thinner wire.

**Q: Could this be used to cut a ring that is stuck on someone's finger?**
A: It will cut through metal, but being abrasive, it would likely abrade flesh too, unless you can pull the ring away from the finger while "sawing" through the ring.

This stuff is amazing! I was able to use it to open up a hole on a printed circuit board that was too small for the component. It did the job very quickly.
