Does way more than I need. *by D***K on September 23, 2020* upon opening, I tried the software update and it said that it was already at the newest level. When I plugged it in to my 2012 RAM 3500, it came right up. Once I figured out how to set up the custom gauges, it just worked. I do have a couple of design complaints. The first complaint I have is that it forgets the vehicle if I disconnect it. Well, I'm not giving anyone another reason to break into my truck, so I always take it in the house with me. That means that I need to select my brand of vehicle each time I reconnect it. A small annoyance, but still an annoyance. The second complaint is that it gets really hot -- almost too hot to wrap your hand around.
