They were amused at the style at first, until they limped back to the hotel with aching feet whereas I was happy to wear them until bedtime. Note that this shoe has a choice of widths as well as shoe sizes. They also have replaceable insoles that can be washed if you are traveling and don't want to carry spare ones. This is an excellent product. They may be more expensive than your regular choice, but they will last for many years more than average brands if kept clean fairly regularly.
