What can you say a bout a sensor?  You need the WaterBug controller and a power source--this is just an additional sensor.  There is a limit to the max number of sensors, but I think the number depends on how much wiring is involved in the total system.  The WaterBug system works well--very flexible.  You can just attach an alarm of some kind (normally open and normally closed contacts provided) or something more elaborate.  I hooked to a TACO environmental control valve (about $100) and have the WaterBug shut down my whole house water supply if a sensor detects water.

WaterBugs are a great, durable little sensor. Being a technical person - I have set this up to be monitored by other applications - both network controlled NO/NC environmental monitors, as well as wireless security/monitoring systems that have a telephone dialer built in to call you should your basement be flooding. Either way - a great investment to help you manage your home or business environment!
