## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much would i need to cast a mold of a round item 2.5 inches in diameter and about 3/4 of an inch thick?**
A: The best thing I can tell you is this. Place the item in a suitable container that you can make a mold with. Add water to give you the volume you need as if you were making the mold. Pour the water into the same type of measuring container you would use to measure the compound with. Jot down the amount, or mark it on your container. That should give you an approximate amount of mold maker you should use. Always make a small amount extra, just in case.

**Q: Can this product be used to make wedding bands?**
A: For small items like rings and other jewelry,  always get 30A silicone for the mold, you could also do 20A just dont make the mold too thin. . This is 15A I believe.

**Q: Can these molds be used in an oven? I assume the silicone is not food grade but I'm thinking of using those with oven bake clay**
A: I use my torch on them that is the only heat I've used on my molds.

**Q: Is this tin-cure or platinum cure silicone?**
A: Most 1:1 silicone mixes are platinum cure, although I don't know with certainty with this product. I have successfully applied heat to accelerate curing (works only with platinum cure); moisture had no effect (works only with tin cure). So this is *probably* platinum cure.
