## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does anyone know if there is any documentation of the microprocessor programs, inputs, and outputs?**
A: They are almost all simple GPIO sequences and/or triggered functions.
1-6 are dedicated inputs, 7-12 are dedicated outputs, 13-14 are connected to a digital to analog converter and have been dedicated to sound. This DAC is in the chip.
A-H from the program bridge. This is potentially the tricky part as multiple jumpers can be used at the same time. You must jump at least two together to do anything. As of yet I do not know if data is transmitted along these jumpers or if the hold a constant signal. Something else interesting about them, they are paired A = B, C = D, E = F, G = H.
The processor package appears to be a QFN-44 and it is not equipped with internal pull-up or pull down resistors. The lack of capacitors on the inputs says they are either internal or there is a PIC or the like in the chip.
My guess is that this is an 8051 processor by Nuvoton.
If you know MPU or GPIO programming you should be able to make a fuzzer and figure it out quickly. If not it should be easy enough to map with a logic probe and an oscilloscope.

**Q: Can this be broken by wiring it improperly? Like touching DC + to -?**
A: We're not positive but we doubt it. My son said that he's wired things incorrectly before and had to go back and move wires around to make the circuit work. I'm guessing that since it's a kid's toy, they probably have some safeguards in place to prevent shocks and that those safeguards would probably protect the equipment itself too.

**Q: We are on Build #39 but cant see what the "magic message" is...has anyone had problems with that project?**
A: We did too! Maybe an arrow head?

**Q: Can I get the Manual in Spanish languages, online where is the address?**
A: Their website does have a PDF download but it is only in English.

Pre-programmed microprocessor delivers surprisingly fun time

*by E***M on Reviewed in the United States on 21 March 2020*

If you've ever played with traditional electronics kits before, you could be asking yourself, "How could a kit with a speaker, LEDs, push buttons, a tilt switch, photo diode, a rotary knob, and a little green block, hold kids attention for more than a few minutes?" Well, with the addition of a little pre-programmed microcontroller (that green block), it turns those passive mundane components into 39 (+11 traditional circuits) surprisingly fun projects that are quick to connect, and will keep your kids coming back to build them all.Pluses:-Quick to connect using encapsulated modular components-39 Engaging microcontroller based projects like: LED Ping-Pong game, Door bell with real doorbell sound, Light, smart night light, Theremin musical instrument, Drum kit with realistic sounds, Quiz show game, etc.Minuses:-Connector wires can be difficult for young kids to plug into the tight leaf plugs until they become broken-in.-Pre-programmed microcontroller means it's a 'black box', which doesn't teach kids much about how microprocessors work. In fact, the parent will have a hard time explaining how connecting "D to C" creates all the cool sounds they're hearing, for instance You're really just selecting one of 39 programs that control the 6 input and 8 output lines, but the projects are really fun.-Magic Message Wand project didn't display the 'secret message'. Anybody got it to work?
