The DVD face plate cover removed easily from the original DVD drive and snapped right into the drive caddy, no issues whatsoever. In this day and age DVD drives/writers are useless, it's nice having a OEM 1TB HDD in its place for extra storage (I swapped out the original 1TB HDD for a 500GB SSD). Seller was very helpful with answering questions I had about the drive caddy. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Serves its purpose *by F***O on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2019* It does what it claims, but may take some "persuasion" to get it in place.However, it holds the HDD/SSD by pressure of threaded studs on the sides of the drive, rather than actually engaging into the threaded holes with drive mounting screws.
