You must wind it around the lower part of your ring's band. It helps to fill a gap that causes your ring to be loose on your finger. Only thing that I am not real happy about is that the device seems to unwind from either of its ends and you have to rewind it from time to time. Still, it unwinds and causes high spots in instead of a constant smooth wrap around your rings band.
