Will be buying again if ever my first pack wears out or I need to gift this pack to any unlucky soul having a lesser backpack. I purchased this pack as a way to improve my college backpacking experience. I have found over my primary school years that backpacks under $40 do not stand up to a large amount of abuse. Abuse being defined as a large quantity of books, and supplies place in the pack at one time. The Burton Tinder pack solves this problem by providing grade A+ material and design. I love the single main compartment, laptop compartment and outside zipper compartment. These three compartments create a slim, simplistic, and versatile feel that typical school backpacks lack. While having more compartments (like a standard backpack) is nice if you like to organized items by category in separate areas, my school needs only require two areas (sametime the laptop compartment too). Thus I find this pack perfect for most if not all college students’ needs. The only "difficulty" I have with the tinder pack (and when I say difficulty I do not mean an actual challenge, more like slight technique adjustment) is that there is a flap at the top of the inside of the pack that is corded to tighten down and secure the items on the inside. This flap occasionally gets in the way of binders with exterior rings, and book edges. This occurred at the beginning of my purchase, but now I simply adjust the flap to direct it downward to place items inside or upward to take items out. The minor style change is well worth the additional flap as inclement weather does slow me down any more, as I have this flap to prevent water from easily ruining my book/papers. Additionally for the negative sides, I will say this pack does not hold a day’s worth of courses (for me that is 4 courses and a few extracurriculars). At a maximum I have carried with me 3 full size chemistry books, 3 one inch binders a laptop, and various writing utensils. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good all-around packpack *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2017* This backpack can carry a lot of stuff. I take the train to work, and I need a bag that is both secure, and accessible at the same time. It has plenty of room in the main compartment for all of my gear. The zipped inside pocket is ideal for carrying small items, and it has a large outside pocket to carry more of the same. It also has slots for laptops, tablets, etc. It is padded enough to keep electronics intact, but the padding is not comparable to a laptop bag. This is more of an all-around bag. My favorite part about this bag is that has the familiar old-school plastic clips. I had a Herschel bag with those stupid magnetic snaps. Super frustrating. These plastic clips close securely, and easily.The two things it is lacking is a bottle holder on the outside of the pack, and a lower external pocket in the center of the pack. Other than that, it's perfect for my everyday use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Been using burton since my freshman year of high school. *by I***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2017* The quality of burton backpacks in general are just outstanding. I have been using Burton backpacks for about 6 years now and I don't feel like I will ever stop using them. My favorite has always been the tinder pack. This one in particular is really great because the colour scheme goes with anything. The outside material is water resistant, not waterproof. It is completely cloth from the outside, a bit thinner than denim but close. The inside though, has very water resistant material. The 2 layers make it basically waterproof. I have used it while snowboarding and in tons of rain showers. Always keeps my stuff inside super dry. I will say though, that the outside flip pocket is not waterproof, it keeps water out for a bit but if it gets soaked, the stuff inside that pocket will get wet.The comfort of this backpack is really nice as well. I have also owned the kilo pack by burton, but this one is way more comfortable.This backpack also expands to a very suitable size to carry many things. I usually have a binder, a laptop, 4 notebooks, 1 small reading book, my headphones, and have stuffed 2 hoodies inside with no problem.Let me mention as well, then Burton provides LIFETIME WARRANTY.
