When pulling the extension out, the catch the keeps it from pulling apart completely broke and the pole... came apart completely. The small plastic piece was found to be shattered as we poured the pieces out of the bottom of the pole. This catch should have been made out of metal instead of brittle plastic and it makes sense this broke.
