It's one of the few items in my home I use tens, maybe hundreds of times a week. Since it gets so much use, and since it's not a dumpster-sized trashcan, I find that I need to replace the trash bag about every other day. For a month or two, I tried using normal-sized Hefty trash bags, and they worked pretty well. But then I received a pack of these liners as a gift... and have only bought these for the simplehuman can since. These bags fit perfectly inside the trash can, and since they're narrower than conventional trash bags, they're easier to get in (and out), and they don't waste a cubic inch of space. They're the perfect size, and the grey cinch strap at the top ties up just as well as any Hefty or knock-off brand trash bag I've used. Every once in a while, a bag tears a little if I have something sharp in it (like a piece of wood, or a very rigid cardboard box) and I pull it out of the trash can, but I haven't had any tears that are bad enough things spill out.
