I just installed on my Asus ROG Strix G16CHR PCIe 4.0 slot and start the computer. Totally plug and play with Windows 11.0. I connected an UGREEN 40Gbps M.2 NVMe Enclosure and it worked perfectly. Between the enclosure and the expansion card, the USB 3.2 gen 2x2 has, of course, the lowest speed, working with 20 Gbps, that is equivalent to 2.5 GB/s. Testing with DiskMark app, I obtained 2055.07 MB/s for reading and 1845.02 MB/s for writing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ True Gen2x2 *by on Reviewed in the United States May 2, 2026* This card worked right out of the box. Installation was easy and it works in my PCIe 3.0 x4 slot at full bandwidth (of gen2x2, not the full 4 lanes of PCIe gen 3.0). No extra SATA power required like some other cards. I tested a gen2x2 thumb drive and got over 2,050 MB/s read and 1,865 MB/s write. My one gripe is the type C port is a bit high in the PCIe bracket, some cables with thicker housings may come close depending on the cable and your case. To use my Thunderbolt 5 cable (for testing), I had to put a little more pressure than normal for it to read the drive.
