No, it's not super vibrant - if you have dark hair and want vibrant color, you'll have to bleach. But I just want my natural hair to have a deep purple hue, and this dye does that perfectly. It also lasts FOREVER. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and this dye lasts three or four months. It probably lasts longer, but I always re-dye it by then because my hair has grown out quite a bit. Also, I've seen reviews say that this dye stains everything. I've not found that to be the case. Arctic Fox, Punky Color, and Manic Panic all leave purple stains all over my shower for weeks or months. This one doesn't. It also doesn't run when I sweat, even newly dyed. I saturate my hair with dye, then put a shower cap over it and heat with a blow dryer for 10-15 minutes. Then I let it sit for about an hour. I rinse with water as cold as I can stand (so usually about room temp) and condition. I don't shampoo for several days. I've used this dye 4 times in 4 different shades (Amethyst, Plum, Tanzanite, and Magenta) and they've all turned out fantastic. Just make sure it's properly sealed after use. **Q: Will midnight rosetta cover over midnight magenta? or will it just make my hair a darker pink color?** A: No it wont **Q: The box says this dye will stain countertops. Will I be able to get the stain out of the countertops with bleach?** A: Color can stay if not being careful. I suggest covering the floor and countertops while applying just in case you drip. If you end up dripping I suggest immediately spraying Clorox Foamer with bleach.
