You hook up to an inlet and you can simply sweep debris and dirt into the opening, making for fast, efficient clean up without use of a hose or any additional vacuum accessories. The new re-designed automatic dustpan's front panel is 2 1/4" in height, with the new designed integrated low profile fitting that is included. The clearance requirement to install the automatic dustpan underneath the kick plate or within a baseboard is only 2".
