I use both Calphalon sear and slide line and All-clad non stick with one reservation, their HA 1 line. First they are made in China and they have the worst handles ever created. I am a retired Chef with over 40 years experience. I have used many different pots and pans in my career and never used a pan with such an uncomfortable handle. The way it's made it cuts into your hand when you lift it, even with out food in it. With food it's even worse. If you want to use All-clad, buy their regular line of pots, not the HA 1 series. **Q: Is it safe for metal utensils** A: no it is not it will scratch **Q: Is this hand crafted in the us or is it made in china? thanks!** A: The hard anodized lines are made in China and that's why they are so affordable.
