I used the age old method of taking the AMO length and subtracting 4 inches to come up with a string length that has worked in the past. 64" - 4" equals a 60". This string fits as it should, not like others I purchased that were measured under tension to the outside of the loops making them a little too small for a 64" bow. Because of this experience from the other string manufacture, I decided to buy two strings from this company a 66 and 64 AMO. As it turned out because these are made true, I really only needed to buy the one size. 1. It is assembled well. 2. The string is very solid in appearance and feel. 3. The string is built to standard lengths for many bows. 4. The string shoots well. 5. The package arrived quickly. 6. Though I have taken one class in archery, I can't profess to be an expert on all the aspects of the required length for my specific recurve bow, so I ended up successfully guessing near the length I thought I would need. It shoots just fine and has no frays thus far. If you're a beginner at archery, one way to avoid string frays is to put some chapstick of some sort on the string after a lot of use.
