NO, it does not have a detachable handle and to me it seems that if one tried to remove it, it would not go back on. You can’t break them if you tired. The handle is flexible and doesn’t break off, the plastic does not fade and it could literally be run over by a car and pop back into shape. Now i have several of them and they sit in the sun all summer played with by our pool and then back and forth to the beach and they look new. I have one that’s at least 7 years old. Speilstabil products are outstanding!
