## Description

Bohning Ferr-L-Tite "The Original Hot Melt Adhesive". Adheres points and inserts to aluminum, wood, and glass shafts. This hot melt cement is tough, elastic, water-proof and heat reversable.

Review: An excellent thermal plastic glue - Works just like the good old-fashioned stuff. Keep in mind you melt it with a lighter and when you take away the heat it solidifies. If you applied it thin enough it will remain partially flexible, so it would work on hip waiters or boots.
Review: Better than epoxy - I'm really impressed with this hot melt. I have had serious problems getting inserts to stay in Victory arrows when using 2 part epoxy, and an even worse time getting iron will collars to stick to the outside of the shaft. I was having to sand, scuff, clean etc. etc. to keep my components in place with epoxy. Enter this hot melt. This stuff is awesome and has held up great on a dozen Victory arrows. For best application I get the insert warm and heat the hot melt with a candle or torch until it's as thin as possible without dripping off the end of the stick. Put the insert in quickly while spinning slightly and you're done. I dip the end of the arrow into some ice water and then give 5 minutes or so to fully set up and they're good to go. The arrows have been shot into block targets, bag targets and Reinhart 3d targets and nothing has budged. I'll be using this from now on.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this the same as a regular hot glue stick?**
A: Nope, not at all. Regular glue sticks melt at MUCH lower temperatures and when you feel them, have a bit of rubbery "give" to them. This stuff is really stiff, more like a hard plastic once it's cooled. You need a torch to melt it, and obviously the shape of it doesn't lend itself to being used in a glue gun, so I can't tell you if that would be hot enough, but I'd guess not.

**Q: Does this hot melt work on carbon arrows or is the blue Bohning hot melt better for carbon shafts?**
A: The blue is better for carbon. It has a lower melting temperature, so that helps reduce the chance of scorching the shafts.
