I modified it a bit by flipping the lever and spring upside down so that I would push down (rather than lift up) to open the gate. The bolt is a solid chunk of metal with a serious weld to its mounting frame. The screws are self-drilling (Trident drill point) with hexagonal heads, this was a welcome change to either a Philips or Torx screw where there is more than a chance that the head will be stripped.
