There's hardly any smell to this Power Grab adhesive and it's very easy to use (see my photos of the packaging). I used this Power Grab to repair a towel rack in the bathroom. My son had pulled one side of the towel rack out from the wall trying to catch his balance. I noticed that the hanging side of the towel rack was only attached to drywall and not a stud. To get started: I wiped away any loose drywall and particles from the hole and the mounting hardware on the towel rack. I filled the hole and coated the mounting hardware on the towel rack with Power Grab. I then positioned my towel rack back into place by using a very tall tripod (in it's closed position) to support the towel rack until it dried, cured, and hardened. Will it withstand hot/cold/wet weather?** A: I bought this stuff. I used it inside to fix a few things. The tube is bigger than it looks in the picture. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable using it outside. If your doing an outside project you should probably go for the construction adhesive in a tube the kind you would need a caulk gun for...like Liquid Nails...you may have a lot of left over waste but you need a product that's gonna stand up to all kinds of weather. Home Depot or Lowes any good hardware chain should have it. **Q: can this be used to glue down carpet tile?** A: Personally I used it for a bathroom wall tile & it's been a year and it's still there. I found this glue to work very well. It might be so good that it would be extremely hard to remove. **Q: Can I use it on fabric** A: Just tried (and failed) to bond Velcro backing to the polyester material on the headband of my noise-cancelling headset. One of the hinges had given up the ghost, and after a long time trying to find a replacement hinge to fix it, my father just gave up and lived with an open center to his 3-panel medicine cabinet. Now that we’re putting his house on the rental market, we went back to the drawing board to try to find a solution to this annoying problem. Once again we tried in vain to find a hinge to replace the one that broke (only to discover that the cabinet was made by a European manufacturer that no longer made these sorts of hinges). It was starting to look like we might have to remove this entire cabinet - which would require hiring an electrician, since the unit was wired for lights, and had two electrical outlets inside. So, y’know: expensive. And that didn’t even include the cost to buy a new cabinet. We *really* didn’t want to go that route if we could help it. I had an idea, so I asked a friend who was super-handy if he thought there was a way we could just attach it with epoxy or something. I knew it would mean the door would be unusable, but there was plenty of storage space in the other two cabinet, so, while not a perfect solution, at least it didn’t require several hundred dollars to replace. My friend recommended this Loctite Power Grab: “It sticks to everything, and it’s really strong,” he said. And wow, he wasn’t kidding. I put just one strip of the glue along the bottom and top of the mirror (which I suspect weighed close to 10 pounds), and with the help of a friend, we lifted it, and set it in place. Within *seconds* this thing was holding, and not slipping at all. I taped it up, and shoved an old basket under it for extra support (clearly, I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants fix-it woman ), and left it overnight without disturbing it, just to be safe. The next morning I removed the basket and tape, and that sucker wasn’t budging for anything. Had I known it could have been this easy, I would have done this for my dad years ago. (But still, I’m so glad I found it now!) The only drawback is that the new tenants won’t be able to open that center door, but at least it’s there, and the other two *do* open, so it’s not like they won’t have space. I just LOVE that this long-standing problem has been solved. And with something that cost just a little more than 5 bucks? Total magic.
