These adapters allowed you to use standard size, less expensive, LED bulbs in the original smaller sockets that the fixture has. These adapters enabled your light/ceiling fan to be of use again. It was just what we needed! Now you can use standard base LED bulbs that are much brighter and turn on quickly. Would recommend these adapters to anyone, great quality, fast delivery and good price. These are very low-cost adapters for putting a standard base lamp in a candelabra base. If you want to put LED bulbs in our ceiling fans. CFL bulbs with candelabra bases are rare; LED bulbs with candelbra bases are almost non-existent, with very limited selection and exotic prices. These adapters allowed you to use very nice, low-cost LED bulbs in the ceiling fans. Feit LED Dimmable Decorative Bulb Note that these adapters will add about 1" to the length of the bulb, plus normal candelabra ceiling fan pear-shaped bulbs are short. The combination of the Feit decorator globe and the adapter ends up almost exactly twice as long as the standard ceiling fan bulb. That's okay for your application; the bulb now protrudes from the glass shade, but it looks fine and actually gives more uniform light around the entire room. Trying to fit this in any type of fully enclosed fixture would most likely be impossible. If some converters not working, I am guessing this is because the bulbs are improperly installed. If you are putting these bulbs outside you should use petroleum jelly or automotive quality silicon electrical grease on the threads since LED bulbs may run longer before being replaced. I mount the adapters on the bulb and then install on the fixture.
