You can work with other brands' devices by utilizing IFTT or sometime in 2022, Matter will be available. **Q: Will this fit a wall box that is 25mm in depth?** A: No. You’ll need much deeper - but will depend on where your cables come into the box. To do this install two switches, the first one physically attached to the wiring and light fitting and the other either mains powered(but not connected to light) or one of the cheaper battery powered ones, which is not connected to the mains lighting circuit. I’ve had them for several years and they never let me down. They are controlled by Alexa. For years I used only the Aqara app on my iPhone to set them up.
