Review: It got lost - It got lost Review: So this is the first Furby I have had since the original. I got that one for Christmas when I was in eighth grade. This was a gift to myself. The Furby is named Dee-Doh (dude) and has already needed batteries replaced because I play with it so much! I use it both with the app and standalone. For the Furby: The toy is a good size...quite a bit bigger than the original and the Boom series. The fur is very soft. The sensors work very well and respond as expected. When the batteries are new, Dee-Doh gets a bit excited and falls over a lot even when placed on a level surface. This goes away as the batteries lose charge. The mask is convenient, especially when transporting the Furby. I had no issues updating or connecting with my phone. For the App: There is a lot there already and I have not had many issues overall. The app does seem to tax my phone and it is a brand new Android. It has crashed once or twice. The furblings are adorable and fairly easy to care for. The interactions Dee-Doh has while playing are appropriate but repetitive. I imagine this will improve as he and the app are updated. Overall, this toy is a win. The interaction is lively and amusing. The mask is convenient and much appreciated. Content needs to improve, but that is really my only complaint. Update! I love Dee-Doh so much that I had to get him a friend now that the price has come down so much. Picked up the coral orange color and they have hysterical conversations. Way-Doh (Sunset Dreamer) is a bit louder than Dee-Doh but I also haven't tried them with fresh batteries at the same time. I do wish there were other face mask colors so I could have them be a bit more individual. Very pleased overall. Content updates over time have been consistent and have really added to the play value. Is this anything to be concerned about?** A: I gave it as a gift and only watched it once in a noisy environment. In my experience with anything that moves I have almost always heard operating sounds so i wouldn't be to concerned. **Q: My son received the furby connect for xmas. we were able to interact with it last night and use the app. today we cannot get it to 'wake up'!** A: Take off the battery cover. There is a very small reset button that u can press and hold down with a toothpick! Ours did this as well and resetting it fixed it! (My son is no idiot-he works on F-16 Fighter planes. I hopefully am going to get the toy back from my son(who threw the packaging away, assuming it would work) I plan on sending it back to Amazon. It has several improvements including colorful eyes, new funny talk, and the very useful capability of putting it to sleep (with a sleeping mask, not a bad on/off button).
