Not for vegetarians or vegans
This book is informative, interesting and enlightening. However, the meal plans are quite meat-based which I wasn’t expecting. I had imagined the diet would be primarily plant-based but this isn’t the case, so as a vegetarian I will have to create my own meal plans based on the nutritional advice given in the book.

Ignores the central nervous system
I have already followed these plans and although the food is good, it won’t do anything if you are stressed as the central nervous system affects hormones.

superficial
It may be ok for someone who does not feel like they need to understand how things work or for someone who already has some knowledge about hormones and their mechanisms. Few mistakes/typos which a person with no prior knowledge might find confusing. Lots of repeating and lacks flow.

If you are experiencing signs of Estrogen Dominance, GET THIS BOOK! Telling all my GenX friends!
I have been following Magdelena's work for several years, love her last book Hormone Reset and her Thyroid Detox program. Let me be honest, I would follow a program, and then something would come up like a trip and then I would be back to my old ways. Until I can't ignore it anymore, I need help. My hormones are kicking my butt and in particular a lot of fibroids that are getting bigger every year. My doctor is offering pills or a medical procedure that "might help" but comes with it's own risks. So I've decided to give things a real try and picked up her last book to go through the elimination diet and see what's really going on. A week into the program, her new book came out and I ordered it, so Glad I did!! This is Exactly what I need, and takes off where the last book left off.Magdalena really knows her stuff, she's not rehashing information she learned from reading, but from working with real life clients and her own experiences. The book takes you from explaining estrogen dominance and it's symptoms (of which I have many) to working with dietary changes, potential supplements (showing exactly what each one does), various mealplans depending upon your issue, and on. There are ton of delicious recipes - be sure to try the Fisherman's Breakfast and Garlicky Lemon Chicken - as well as various drinks, elixirs, and self care products such as homemade salves and casteroil packs. She gets into the nitty gritty of what your body needs to heal and has specific protocols for issues such as fibrocystic breast, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, hot flashes and more. The pages are beautiful, lots of colorful pictures and drawings, as well as lots of great items you will use every day. I have already given a copy to a good friend.Once you get the book, be sure to sign up for her mailing list at hormonesbalance.com . She shares relevant articles on all things hormones, as well as more recipes and ideas. The FB group Hormone Thrives is a terrific community as well. Cannot say enough!0 Just 3+ weeks in I'm already feeling more energy, less inflammation, and my digestion is working so much better.Note that I received nothing in exchange for this review, I'm just a happy customer and if you are having any potential estrogen issues, I strongly recommend that you to get this book.

Excellent!
Really appreciated the info and recipes. Makes it clear and brings a lot of things into perspective. Also the meal plans for a couple of weeks means the theory is easy to apply. I’m a fan!

So informative!
I have read this book cover to cover and not only has it helped me, but I’ve been able to share information with others who were struggling with estrogen dominance.

Full of great info
I've just flipped through the first part, but I saw a lot of great info that both Magdalena and others I've seen in various health summits talk about.I did do the 28 Day Reset eating program. Overall, it's a great menu, though I found that I could have left some things out to make it more affordable as well as match my eating habits better. For example, instead of the teas she has included, I'd just do her Nutritive Tea (free recipe on her website) as that's the only tea she includes in her ER Live program. I'd also cut out all the snacks as I ended up not making them (even though I bought the ingredients) and I wasn't really hungry for them anyway. Most of the recipes for the meals are excellent, although having gone through it once, there are a few I'd leave out next time due to personal preference. But of the ones that I did like, they were excellent and I'm grateful to have them in my repertoire. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the headings in the recipe section were cut off a little. Not a big deal, but a it is a little bit of a let down
