I am using Ethernet for the backhaul from the MR2200AC to the RT2600. You need to set up the RT2600 first. Go to WiFi and click on add WiFi point. Make sure your MR is on and not connected with the Ethernet yet (do it later). The RT will find the MR and configure it as a mesh node. Once that is done you can then connect the Ethernet cable from the RT lan port to the MR wan port and the back haul will use the Ethernet vs the 5Ghz Wireless connection. Keep in mind when you enable the mesh node you no longer will have access to the MR routers admin page. It becomes controlled through the RT SRT panel. **Q: What is the wi fi signal range? I have 3 levels in my home and the device would be placed on the main floor.** A: I would recommend RT2600 router with a 2nd MR2200 mesh router/Access Point. RT2600 uses a separate 5GHZwireless channel to communicate with MR2200 as to not interfere with main 2.5G & 5G wifi signals. Excellent solution, covers all wifi 'holes', works better/faster than generic 'extender' which acts as a slower 'repeater'. Synology 'mesh' operation is excellent & maintains fast speeds through-out my 2 story house! **Q: Can you connect 2 mr2200ac to rt2600ac?** A: Thinking about running the same setup. did you setup the RT first and then add the 2x MR? **Q: Does anyone know yet if these will work with the RT1900ac router?** A: I believe Synology says no.
