Review: I had some new fish added to my display tank and used this medication as a precaution. It worked very well, I follow the directions on the package, make sure windows are closed and plant lights are turned off during treatment period. I have freshwater shrimp in this tank and it did not harm them. Important note:this medication is hard on fish, and they may seem a bit β€œweaker” by the end of treatment. Once you do a follow up water change though in my experience my fish came back much stronger than prior to the meds. No sunken bellies, great colours and feeding response. Also, this does not replace good tank maintenance. You take water out and dissolve however many packets that you need in that water. Then you put that water back into the tank. **Q: How long does it take for this to work? My betta has red camallanus worms hanging out of her body and I have dosed her for the past 2 days** A: It takes a few days to kill the worms. They'll turn gray when they're dead. It will take a few more weeks to completely pass the dead worms. **Q: Whats the difference between this and Paracleanse?** A: They treat different type of parasites. People primarily use levamisole (Expel P) to treat roundworms like capillaria. Paracleanse helps treat hexamita, protozoans, and some internal thread worms **Q: Is this safe with snails** A: Should be fine. I used it on a tank full of ramshorn snails with no problem. I'd be a bit cautious about using with Nerites though, based on what I've heard.
