And they worked, but they didn't work like this journal, custom-made for all your Bullet Journaling needs. First off, the "dot" journal spine broke away from the pages as I reached the end of the book. I haven't gotten that far yet in my new Bullet Journal, but it's very sturdy. Just give it a little bend like you are cracking the spine a bit and it will lay flat. That little bend does not affect the outward appearance of the journal. I don't think you will regret buying it. And it has page numbers so that’s another huge plus, perfectly sized too, a bit wider than moleskins but that makes it even better in my opinion.
