## Description

Product description KIT-1 is a complete wireless kit, which includes 202U receiver and TX134 transmitter. Solidremote 202U is 2-Ch wireless receiver built with high stability, security and performance in mind. Typical use includes garage door opener standalone receiver, LED strip remote controller, hobby motor forward & reverse remote control and more. Other than DIY projects mentioned above, 202U receiver has also been shipped with lifts, HVAC devices, parking controllers and more by our business partners for many years. FOR BUSINESS BUYERS : 202U receiver is customizable for bulk orders, we also have more remote control options. Important Notice - Please Read Before Purchase # For garage door applications, our receiver does NOT work with Homelink , and does NOT work for newer doors (such as yellow learn button openers with coded wall switch signals). # Using this product requires basic electronics knowledge, or experience with similar products before. Customer might need soldering skill and material for wiring in some circumstances. # Due to variety of wiring in real world applications, our simple, one page hard copy manual only covers general purpose wiring diagram. # Many new features in V5 version, such as timed output, additional working modes etc. requires further settings which may seems complex , especially for first time users. We have video tutorials to guide you through the process. # Recommended power input voltage is 9-30Vdc (polarity doesn't matter) or 9-24Vac. Measure real voltage for AC before set up - Important, to avoid damage! since sometimes a labelled 24Vac adapter can get you as high as 28-30Vac and damage our receiver. # Our receiver's relay capacity is up to 10A @14Vdc / 10A @120Vac for resistive load, up to 6A @14Vdc for inductive load (e.g. motors). Security Matters Using insecure fixed code or learning code is just like give keys to stranger, you never do it in real life - Why not try our KIT-1 and be safer? New in V5 Built-in timed relay output provides more possibilities, also we have 3 more working modes added in V5. Security - Abundant Code Combinations for Daily Use Our rolling code system offers better security and far more code combinations than many other products at comparable price, which still uses 'ages old' fixed code or learning code due to much lower cost. For Where Security Matters While there is nothing wrong with fixed code or learning code in hobby projects, you may not want to use it in real life applications such as garage door opener, entry systems etc. where security matters. Abundant Code Combinations Our RF system has more than 18 quintillion (18 x 10^18) possible codes, nearly a trillion more than typical fixed code or learning code ones. How big is a trillion? Let's take sand for example, if learning code's code pool is the size of an average sand, then our transmitter's code pool is bigger than dozens of standard football playgrounds. YES indeed that huge difference. Performance - Carefully Designed and Manufactured Range is one of the most popular questions customers ask regarding wireless products, you need better range and more stable performance, we heard you. Increase Transmitter Power vs. Better Sensitivity Receiver Unlike many other products which improve range by simply increase transmit power (while it works, it is not the right way). Our transmitter is designed with standards conformance in mind, we achieved better range, done right, by using better sensitivity receiver instead. Better Superheteodyne RF Module Unlike many others who just source RF module from outside, we designed our own instead, because we know it is crucial to RF performance. Every SolidAdvantage module is carefully designed by engineer and quality checked using state-of-the-art Rohde & Schwarz RF instrument before final assembly. This is to make sure every RF receiver module actually achieve -111dBm sensitivity (lower value means better performance) and better stability in the long run. Design - Flexible & Built for Humans True Independent Relay Programming Two independent relay channels can either work together for polarity reverse applications or individually to control different electronics. e.g. one channel for garage door, the other for entry lights. 202U receiver's control logic is transmitter button to receiver channel mapping, so it is much more flexible than other products, especially when dealing with multiple channels or even multiple receivers at the same time. Standard 510 Transmitters Memory While other receivers only offer small memory for several remotes, we offer enough memory for hundreds of remotes, as free upgrade for all customers. DIP Switches No more jumpers. The human friendly, easy to use DIP switches provide straightforward relay working mode selection & settings possibility. Visual Feedback No more guessing. Both relays on board have LED indicators, so customer knows exactly which relay is currently turned on. SIG and PWR leds are also onboard for quick system status check. Optional +5V Expansion Port Adaptive Power Input Thanks to onboard switching power supply system, 202U receiver accepts wide power input range 12-24V AC or DC that is available at many places. Limit Switches Other than remote control command, 202U receiver also accepts external limit switches signal (e.g. infrared beam or other sensor) for feedback control. Plug n' Play Antenna Port Use your own antenna to extend range? No problem! our brand new connector design makes antenna installation easier than ever.

Review: Simple but effective - I have purchased a v5, a v6 and now a pair of extra remotes. The v6 has not been installed yet so my comments are regarding v5 only w the newer remotes. One of the original v5 remotes was crushed by traffic so I purchased the v6 with the intent of using the remotes w the v5 unit and keeping the v6 unit as a backup. I then decided I would use v6 in another project so bought a pack of the spares anyway. But before the spares arrived I had already programmed the v6 remoted to my v5 and they are working fine. (More on that below.) I'm pretty sure I have an older review on the v5 so I'll just throw a few points out here. First, i have it installed inside an aluminum trailer (to turn on interior and exterior lights A=interior B= Exterior C= Both) but it still has pretty good range and reception. Batteries last a long time. Set up, even utilizing relays to handle more amperage, was very simple. This has been working flawlessly since 2019 (now Q2 2024). PROGRAMMING NEW REMOTES - I don't recall having any issues programming the original remotes, and I'm betting that would be true of the new v6 unit, however linking newer remotes to the older units may require changing the remotes 'mode'. This is not stated very clearly, if at all, in most documentation or videos. I don't have all of the details but here's the basic idea. When you press one of the buttons on an original remote does it blink once and go out, stay on for a longer moment, or blink several times? This is an indication of its 'mode'. When you get new remotes the mode is likely set to the default mode at the time of its fabrication, thus different from an older model, and you probably see the new remotes flash differently from your old remotes. You need to get the new one to match the old one. To change the mode you hold the C+D buttons at the same time until you see the remotes light come on/flash, let go of C+D and press A. You should now see a different pattern when you press a button on that remote. If you are 'lucky' that's the one that matches your base unit so you should try to pair them again following the documented (simple) process. If the unit and remote didn't pair up then try changing the remotes mode again. I had to change the modes many times before they finally linked up. Not sure if it makes a difference but I also tried pressing the B and C buttons (after C+D) in case that did anything special since the C+D> A just plain didn't work after the first few tries. It can be frustrating but after a couple minutes of feeling like I was getting nowhere it eventually worked. Overall a great product! UPDATE June 2024 - I ended up adding the additional standalone remotes to the same v5 controller and found that they were already in the correct 'mode', unlike the remotes that came with the newer v6 unit (described above). This is neither a plus nor a minus since it just depends on your situation as to whether you'll need to adjust the modes or not for pairing. If i had wanted to pair them with the newer v6 unit then I'd likely have needed to change the mode.
Review: Works well super easy to program - This product for 17 bucks is no doubt the best buy on desertcart. It comes with 2 remotes that can handle 4 different devices. Try just buying 2 remotes. They don't ship a power supply but i just found an old brick that I had tossed the device and kept the power supply for, but the ends of measured the voltage and connected it up. Programming the remotes is so easy if i had to buy a new remote I would just buy one of these. Press the button on the controller then the remote the controller flashes and you are done. There are 2 relays in the controller so you could use it to control 2 separate garage doors, or if you wanted to get fancy you could put the power to the opener on a relay and then no one could open the door unless they pressed the relay to power up the door. I cannot say enough over how easy it was to set up. Do you need a little bit on knowledge yes each relay has 3 connectors and you only use 2 of them. But unless it dies in a year it really is a great value. The unit has a rubber gasket that goes all the way around and while the bottom of the controller is open you could seal it up pretty easily. Is this the most wiz bang thing I have purchased from desertcart nope. But has it impressed me with no issue setting up and working out of the box and lots of other features included yes. I can see where they probably cut the cost by 50% by not including a power brick and most people probably have one hanging around. I just used the 2 wires that come down to the door button on the door going into my house to test the unit. It was for my brother in law and he was also very happy he could still use his old remote too!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the max range or distance that these remotes can work from?**
A: Max range depends on the signal attenuation. If the signal must get inside a garage that has insulation that is backed with aluminum foil, that will shorten the range. The signals can also blocked by trees, just like TV signals. However, in "free space" with nothing that absorbs RF, between the remote and the garage receiver, with no other in-band signals (jamming), your remote should work at 300 yards. With all of the above signal attenuation I have on my GDO setup, I was getting 50 to 100 yards. So, I added an old Ham antenna and extended the range to 300 yards.

**Q: Can you program multiple receivers to the same transmitter so button A will trigger multiple receivers at the same time?**
A: Each transmitter must be "matched" to a receiver. As long as all of the receivers are the same frequency, you can "match" several transmitters to each one. If you "match" a transmitter to more than one receiver, then each "matched" receiver will be activated when a button on transmitter is pressed.

**Q: Do you guys have a remote with one or two button only? I use this unit with a door buzzer lock system and only need to open and close or “NC”...**
A: I'm afraid we only have 4 button remotes.
Maybe one workaround is to program all 4 buttons to the same relay, so press any button will activate it.
Sorry about that.

**Q: I plan to install the reciever inside my pickup truck door. Will the signal from the remotes get through to the the reciever?**
A: From my experience, sure it will. This is not a regular remote ...it is tough and reliable. Its encrypting goes beyond those regualr remotes of car and home alarms. I have read some 433 and 315 MHz codes from other remotes but this one is very well hidden. I do plan to keep using this remote for garages and alarms which are critical.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great solution for Craftsman Garage Door Openers
*by F***. on April 27, 2026*

This worked perfectly for me. I used it with my craftsman garage door opener. The original remotes stopped working and setting up this device allowed me to avoid the expense of replacing the garage door opener. The setup was easy and I had everything working in less than 30 minutes.
