Very clean and seems to last forever. I play six to eight games a day five days a week and I typically chalk up every one or two shots and it never seems to wear down; Probably could go longer in between chalking without too many issues. [For reference, I am an APA SL4 -- not great player but I do ok...I miss my share of shots but it is rarely due to miscues. Point being that on average I take a fair amount of shots per game so I chalk up a lot.] It doesn't leave very much residue on the cue ball outside of a hard break and the cloth stays clean longer. Definitely worth the money. I would suggest getting a chalk holder with the screw cap to prevent the chalk from getting damaged in your stick bag.
