It breaths well against your back. It also has a lot more room than it looks like it does when you get it. I'm 5'2" and this backpack fits me well. It's adjustable, but I'm not sure my 6'4" husband would be very comfortable in it. The binocular straps detach and can be clipped together to wear around your neck because the buckles are attached in such a way that you have a male and female end to clip together.The fabric is pretty tough and it feels a bit like fleece. Most of the nylon is against your back and on the bottom.The chest strap is adjustable and doesn't annoy me. Overall the backpack doesn't move much against my back. I'm incredibly happy with it.Update: After having this pack for nearly a year, I still stand by my original review. I've taken it on several fishing and camping trips that have required some hiking in dense areas and it's held up amazingly well. No tears. No broken zippers. No broken or frayed straps.
