The hands supplied were far to long for acarriage clock so ended up cutting the big hands down to stubs so I could use the fixings onto the shaft and then gluing the original hands to them. Clock is now working and keeping good time. A cheap way to repair an old clock. Plenty of options with multiple hands. Review: Ok but parts missing but seller has replaced - These are very thin. I ve had paper thicker! They bend very easily which isn't good as you have to press very firmly to get the hands on the mechanism. I had a set of hands missing. I was expecting a little better quality for the price. I ve brought very cheap ones before and these are of the same quality. A good quality AA has around 2500mAh, so this would yeild around 8,333 hours of runtime (347 days). However this assumes the clock can use all the batteries capacity down to well below 1 volt. Best bet is always to use a good quality alkaline and you should see around a year. **Q: Description says not use alkaline batteries but aren’t all AA batteries alkaline ? Which to use then ?** A: There are rechargeable NiMH ones - that said I’ve an alkaline one in (Energiser Max) without any problem.
