Received it, charged it up until all the battery indicator lights showed full charge. Blew into it......NOTHING. Cycled it off and back on, blew into it....still nothing. The instructions say "If the lamp is not work, please check if the lamp has power or wiring is correct". So I figured what the heck, let's take this thing apart. Removed the round gray cushion from the bottom to get to three No2 phillips screws. A jewel's screw driver works the best. Separate the shell from the base by squeezing the base and rotating/pulling up on the shell. I checked voltages at the ribbon cable on the small circuit board closest to the bulb, they were all good. So voltage was getting that far. There are two solder points on that same circuit board just below the "blow" switch. I set my Fluke multimeter to diode check, to check for continuity on the switch. (It also sends a small voltage across those two points) As soon as the multimeter leads hit those points, the light came on bright as can be. I can't explain what it fixed or how, but it worked. I'm not familiar enough with this type of switch to know if that extra voltage "jump started" it or exactly what happened. But, I blew into the switch, light went out. .Blew into it again, light went back on, clicked the dimmer switch on the bottom, I've got low/med/high. Screwed it all back together, let it sit in the off position for nine hours. Went back and it's still working fine. I'm setting it on the toilet tank in lieu of one of those toilet seat lights. which don't seem to last very long and are right there waiting to be peed on. It's plenty bright on low, we'll see how long the battery lasts before it needs to be recharged.UDPATE: Used it over a five night span and got just over 40 hours out of it (on low) before it needed to be recharged. Fully recharged in two hours and ready to use again. This is a complete waste of money. I received mine yesterday. Plugged it into an USB port and charged it for 8 hours. Unit indicated that it was fully charged. But when switched on, no light, nothing! The damn thing just does not work. Fortunately, it is not expensive, so it is not even worth the bother of returning it.***This is my updated review. After I posted my last review, I got an email from the supplier reminding me to blow into the jar in order to turn on the light. While I certainly did that a number of times when I first tested the light (all to no avail), I was apparently not blowing at the right spot. So after experimenting a bit more, I realized I would get the most reliable results by blowing slightly to the side of the LED, but not directly at the little hole near the periphery. So now my success rate in terms of being able to turn on or off the light is about 80%, which I suppose is decent enough.
