I liked it so much, I decided to give this series a chance. I'm glad I did. I really liked it.Ms. Capri offers a strong, compelling story with interesting characters. She also tackles some heavy issues -- domestic violence and sexual molestation in a very even-handed and realistic way.Now to the characters. What can I say about Long? He is my favorite character. This young man has swag out of this world, but it's his sensitivity and heart that got me. Breonni is also a complex character who provides comic relief and on the surface tries to appear worldly and hard; but as you learn more of her story and what she's endured, it's easy to become her biggest fan because she exhibits signs of growth, resiliency, and amazing strength. Long and Breonni quickly became my favorite couple. Their love was very palpable to me. I could actually feel it and read their last few scenes several times because they are so touching. #teamlongandbreonniforever!!!I also liked Flint and Raven's story line as well. Raven's back story/story will probably be very tough for many people to stomach; however, she and her girls share a bond of sisterhood that is tested, but also provides her with a sense of love, comfort, and family. Flint is one smooth ass gangsta, but his heart completely belongs to Raven who he truly loves and helps to blossom.Naseem and Katina are okay. I enjoyed them; but, they didn't draw me in as much as the other two couples I mentioned. It's because their story didn't have as many obstacles or issues for them to overcome, which made them less interesting than the other couples. It's funny how secondary characters, in many of the books I've been reading lately, appeal to me more than the primary characters. Oh well...Although these characters are very young, each one has depth and maturity in many respects that belies their ages. I also think the couples are perfectly matched in personality and temperament, with the exception of Shawn and Jovonna. Since they were given the least amount of ink, I think they'll figure prominently in the sequel. I also hope that Flint makes good on his threat to Raven's daddy because he certainly deserves it.I gave this book 4 stars because I believe this book could stand to use some editing. The way the author made each character was amazing you were able to feel and see them as though you were drawn into a movie as each person. I felt each of there pain and triumph over things we take for granted on a daily basis they all are so different, but yet the same. As you read this book you see how 4 girls so different became each other's strength and there is no friendship with out the dramas. Naseem, Long, & Flint will bring all that swag we all love in a man as young as they are the heat is definitely there. This book so different it wasn't your everyday story that we read on a daily basis it hit home and by the way the pen graced the pages by Nene Capri you know it real because its from the heart. This the second series I have read from Nene and I must say the talent she has to draw you in is nothing short from amazing. This book will be placed in my highly favorite books and if you a real reader and you know what I mean by a real reader this is book you have got to read. I can't wait until the next book to be released she has left me hanging with my heart out there yet again Nene Capri....lol ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Whoa! *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 29, 2015* Four couples, four different pathways to love...will their friendships survive or will their bonds break? This story has so many twists and turns in it. It starts out with four girlfriends who make a pact to remain virgins until prom night. Although they made the pact one of them breaks that pact when she hooks up with the man of her dreams but doesn’t let the others know until prom night. Even though the girls are young they still know want they want, and the guys are there to protect them as much as possible for the things that go wrong. As they get deeper into their relationships each couple starts to grow apart from the others. For many reading this book will relate to many real-life situations going on in your own life or remind you of someone you know. To be able to draw real-life situations into a story line and make the outcome as smooth as possible is a talent not many authors have. Some situations in this book had me reading with tears in my eyes. Nene Capri did her thing with this one. I can’t wait to read the next part to this book.
