Review: Great remote outlet - Super cool and awesome wireless remote control outlet- mainly use it right now for our Christmas tree in our living room and Christmas lights around our window. Super convenient to have - I was super against it early on in life but am now a converter. Very great to have the ability to change from on/off with a click of a button. Super awesome to have multiple options as well!
Review: Update: remote suddenly “failing” (it’s not the remote) - UPDATE: many people experience the remote suddenly failing to work. My remote finally started showing this behavior a year after my purchase. But I do know what is happening: This happens in the winter or perhaps in a well air conditioned home. The battery gets cold, the juice solidifies and the remote fails to catch a signal. There are three remedies: 1). Hold the remote on a warm part of your body (I tuck it under the back of my knee and tuck in my leg), 2) Take a blow dryer to the remote or 3) Remove the battery and roll it swiftly between your palms to heat it up. This takes about 30 seconds, as does the blow dryer. The first suggestion takes longer. This occurs with many models and it is not the remote that is broke, it is the battery that is too cold. Interesting point: look at the reviews that complain about the remote stopping suddenly, and check out the date of their review. 🙂 They are all in cold months. Other than frigid batteries, this is a very reliable device. Enjoy! OLDER REVIEW: I had a trio of remote outlets I bought back about five years ago for the Christmas tree. They finally gave out on me, but it might be battery related. Either way, I bought new batteries and also bought new remote plugs; this one has five. The buttons on the remote controls are labeled and the plugs (1-3, anyway) work well. The only issue I have is the older plugs I had allowed me to plug my lamps in the side. These only offer a receptacle on the front, making the plug jet out, making it difficult to tuck the cords away. It has a good range. I went clear over to the front of my house to turn on the lamp in the back room, and it easily turned on the lamp through the walls and any other crud I have, taking up space and blocking the plug. This means when I do get my tree up, I can turn the tree lights on and off from my seat. It comes with two remotes. The plugs come with a button on the side to activate the plug. You plug one plug in each device, and both remotes immediately work. No need to sync or pair the remote with the outlet the way you would with Bluetooth. Of course, with two remotes, someone else can have control of your devices. If you’re a control freak, good luck with that! But I like to think of it as having an extra remote to replace one that will no doubt get lost some day. The only way I could handle the previously lost remote issue with the set that only came with one remote, was to turn the lights on and off manually. When I had the lights on, I shifted in my seat and the light suddenly turned off. I found the remote beside my recliner cushion. Then I added a key ring to it and hung it on my metal desk lamp that’s holding all sorts of magnetic gizmos. And in mentioning that, I should add that I glued a small powerful magnet to one of the remotes of these outlets and it easily sticks to the metal lamp, replacing the previous remote. I do like these remote controlled outlets, even with the front-facing receptacles, which is nothing more than a mild nuisance. I am considering buying another set, but I do want to try to get my older set working first. No sense in wasting something that could be repaired. I do recommend these. If I have any issues with this set, I will be certain to update my review. But I will also update to mention any feature I discover that suddenly impresses me.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I own 1 set already, I would like to by another set, do you sell them with different channels, so that they won't interfere with each other?**
A: It will not interfere with your original set at all. rest assure your new set will work fine

**Q: I'd like to add a third remote. Can a third remote be purchased separately?**
A: I think what user 97235 was attempting to convey about 433hz is that it is a frequency. Remote control to device and vice versa need similar, if not the same frequency in order for the remote to communicate to the device.

Enter the programmable/universal remote control…you know, those universal remotes…
But then again, I’m only a novice presently.
At best

**Q: can i buy 2 sets and have 2 outlets paired to each channel number for example 2 outlets on ch 1, 2 outlets on ch 2, 2 outlets on 3, and so on?**
A: I honestly don't know about doing it that way. Each set comes with 2 remotes, so it's possible that they are all on the exact same frequency so they would work with more than one set.
But if you were to buy the 2 plug adapters and plug one into each of these, that would work the same, as well.

**Q: Is there any remote control outlets which can be controled with alexa as well?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes Christmas Tree Lights Easy!
*by S***A on December 30, 2025*

This little remote control made my Christmas so much easier. Setting up my Christmas tree involves connecting the lights into a wall plug that is surrounded by furniture and objects that are inconvenient to move around just to plug/unplug the lights. This is the only space I have to put up the tree in my small apartment, so the only other way would be to fully rearrange my apartment or run an extension chord up the wall - this kind of hassle is not worth it to me for one month. I was originally looking for a foot pedal off/on switch to make things easier, until I came across this remote control. It responds well and the connection instructions are simple and easy. Will use this every Christmas.
