The short answer - not really. I resealed using the Quickrete High Gloss sealer and my patio is still very shiny. The texture is just enough to prevent slips and falls. I wouldn't recommend letting anyone run on the wet pavement, but it definitely lowers your liability of falls. The texture is barely noticeable on your feet. You know it's there, but it's not rough at all. The powder is about as fine as powdered sugar. And it dries clear.
