Great for ur humidifier.

I bought these to use in a "Swada Bluefeel" portable humidifier (16.9 oz), which is no longer sold in the US. I first had to cut the wick down slightly to fit my humidifier. The original wick was about half an inch shorter. As others have noted, this material is much more dense than the original wick material. As a result, the mist even after a few days soaking wet was only a fraction of the original volume. To get the mist flowing better I took the tip of a paper clip (or a pin) and poked a hole in the middle of each wick end, parallel to the length of the wick. This is probably only needed at the nebulizer end. These need frequent replacing because of algal/fungal growth in the humidifier.

I'm only rating this low because it doesn't work for essential oils plug-in Diffusers, so please dont purchase this for that. I should've read the description thoroughly. Wish I could just post a disclaimer vs a review. I'm sure this item works just fine for the intended purpose.

I have a mini diffuser in my office and I love putting essential oils in there as well. It's not smart (or smells good) to mix different oils/scents. With these I can easily change them as I change my scents.

They are the right length but they are too fat and don't allow the vaporized water to escape. I've tried soaking them before putting them in and nothing works.I wasn't able to get a refund because I didn't need to replace one until after the return time frame, so hopefully this review will save someone else from wasting money and time. Also, I can't find any filters that do fit. Don't but Homedics humidifier
