The initial assessment, chapter-by-chapter review questions, and custom practice exams (online) are absolutely essential in assessing your readiness to take this exam. As the rear of the book says, if you can pass both 100-question online exams that come with the book at 90%, you're ready to take and pass the exam. This aligns with my experience. This may not be the best material for someone trying to cram...there is a certain level of assumption that you have some basic hands on experience with GCP, but does not assume or require you to know all areas in order to get up to speed. If you've even tinkered with GCP recently or want to expand your knowledge, this is a great way to get that process going and get a great tour of the GCP services and how they fit into the landscape of cloud architecture and engineering. This might be useful information, but it could have been segregated as a 'bonus' chapter. There are several points wjere it says you need to know things about App Engine for the exam, which you don't. There are even App Engine questions on the online practice tests.
