A: This item is Shelf Stable.  It needs no refrigeration.

**Q: What is the expectation date on these**
A: On all of the ones I received (ham, salmon and lobster), the expiration date was at least a year out.

**Q: Why is there limits put on this product? Don't u want the money?**
A: Not sure about the limits.  I get auto ship and there are 3 in a wrapper and I get 2 packs each time.....

A: Glucono Delta Lactone (GDL) is used to stabilize the salad spreads and to prevent separation of the ingredients. The GDL used is corn based.
