Review: Favorite infuser - I really love this infuser. I use it with my looseleaf tea, but you can use it with regular tea bags as well. I purchased it at a good price, and it seems to be well-made. I went out and bought a clear mug so I can see it dripped down into the cup. Without the clear mug, it’s hard to see how full your cup is getting. So at first I had to keep lifting it up to see if my cup was large enough to take everything that I had in the diffuser. But it works really well. When you sit it on top of the cup, it just drains completely into it. As soon as you lift it up, it stops draining. So if you only wanted half a cup at a time, you just lift it up and sit it back on its coaster. No muss, no fuss. It does not retain heat though. So if you leave some in the infuser for later, it will be cold. But I really like the design of it. And if I fill it up to the top, that gives me one good size mug of tea, what I consider a regular cup. I would definitely recommend it.

I don't even use the kettle anymore - there are just too many steps and usually a boiling over mess onto the stove. I now just heat my water in the electric kettle, scoop my tea into the cup, pour the water over, close the lid and let it steep. Then place the tea infuser over my mug for a satisfying, seamless pour. It's a brilliant way to make a single cup of tea and I'm really glad I gave it a shot. I was only hesitant because it's plastic, but it's BPA-free so I decided to try it. I still use the French press for when I'm making a couple of different teas at the same time or a larger brew, but this is now my go-to for a single cup. It's quick, easy to use and easy to wash. I can easily pop the lid off to clean the inside and the strainer at the bottom easily lifts out (after you push the top tab to the side it'll pop loose and then you just lift it out) for cleaning that too. You will need a little brush whenever you need to thoroughly clean it, which is not after every use in my experience.
