Review: Fast in an open room. Don’t bother with the swivel. - It cut hours off the job. I didn’t bother with the swivel. I read it leaks. I tried it once out of the box and yes it leaked. I understand I can fix it 15 different ways. But I had to paint two huge rooms that had zero prep in 90 degrees. So I wasn’t wasting time with the swivel. I tossed it in the box and went about my day. In an open room. This is easily worth it. In a tight room. Cords are annoying. But for a ceiling. Open room. Large walls. Absolutely buy this. Actually buy the entire system just for this. It worked very well. Cleaned up easily (if you’ve cleaned a track before) and make some family friends very happy.

If you’re just a homeowner and don’t own a sprayer I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying this along with a sprayer just for the purpose of using the roller. It works really well. You almost use the wall as your roller grate or pan to evenly spread the paint on the roller sleeve and then all over the wall. It comes out a a great rate and is just as easy as rolling a regular wall. Fairly light wait. I was concerned about clean up but it’s not much harder than cleaning a regular sprayer set up just a few additional steps. The first time I cleaned it though it got a bit messy haha so make sure you have plastic down but soon enough you’ll clean it without a mess. As far as time saved goes I’d say something like 20-40% faster not factoring in sprayer clean time though. All in all for the price it’s not a bad purchase if you roll a lot of walls

**Q: Which is better, spray or power roll? How about spray and back roll with regular roller?**
A: I'm a homeowner with a background in "artistic/show" painting of aircraft/cars/bikes. So I bring that to my house, which is why I haven't found a satisfactory contractor yet. I spray or power roll only. Spraying gives me better control over finish texture and quality, with the requirement of significant masking and prep. But if I roll, I found power rolling gives at least equal results as regular rolling with more control, lower paint consumption, and faster cleanup (no pour spouts/cans/buckets/trays to clean & and the paint hose is pumped back into the bucket). In fact, I can usually power roll mess-free with no masking whatsoever. But however you roll, there is a roll cover cleaning tool that beats everything else. I got mine from Wagner, and unfortunately I can't find them online now. It's a large tube, roughly 4"x12", with a 12" spray bar with a hose threaded end, fastened against the inside wall of the tube. A 2" notch in the tube, opposite the spray bar allows a single arm roller frame (with a messy regular or perforated cover) to drop down inside the tube. Attach a hose, turn on the water, and the spray bar (squirting at a slight angle) makes the roll spin as its flushed. Truly faster and cleaner than any other method. Hope this helps...

**Q: Can multiple extensions be used together to increase vertical reach?**
A: Yes, up to 12 feet with the heavy duty extensions. Thanks

**Q: Is it compatible with a Titan Impact 440?**
A: Yes, it will work with all sprayers. It attaches to your hose not your sprayer and all hoses have the same universal connectors. It doesn’t rely on pressure except to push the paint into your perforated roller sleeve. Which doesn’t need much pressure to do. This is a great rolling system and will save tremendous time in any decent size room. The more painting the better.

**Q: Do you clean the roller cover for the next job or just get a new one? If project takes more than one day how do you store the cover for the next day?**
A: If you have a multi day paint job and don't want to clean up each day wrap the roller head in plastic and cover your paint bucket with plastic as well.  Keep paint in the line and don't allow it to dry out.  I've used the same roller on a whole house interior paint job over a one week time frame and it worked great.  Save's lots of time avoiding clean up and set up each day.  As long as it stays wet the roller will work fine.  These are great rollers to use with an airless paint pump and saves lots of time over an old fashion roller.  When done clean the roller good and it will be good to go for your next paint project.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for large projects, but doesn't handle primers very well

I painted my whole house with this roller and a Graco Magnum X7 machine, about 12 gallons of primer, 6 gallons of ceiling paint and 10 gallons of latex paint. The latex paint (ceiling and wall) went out exceptionally well, with very little dripping or spattering (I started with drop sheets, but after the third room didn't bother any more, and just had a large flattened cardboard box under the pressure washer and paint bucket). The primer went less well (being thinner than the paint), with more drips, splatters and poorer coverage. I'm not sure if that's the roller's fault, the primer being unsuitable to pressure rolling or a problem with the paint I used, but moving from the primer to the paint was a relief. The main drawback of pressure rolling is the amount of setup, cleanup and waste of paint. This is more suitable for large projects, and painting a single room is probably not big enough (although I did paint two single rooms in different colors as a "single room project"). Priming the machine wastes some paint, cleaning it wastes some more and there's a limit to how low the paint can be in the can before it can't pull it anymore (that's after I took off the small filter on the end of the input hose on the machine). The best way I found of cleaning the roller is to first take of the roller off the frame, disassembling the roller itself and rinsing off the plastic parts of the roller before cleaning the roller nap itself. There is a lot of paint left on those plastic parts, and trying to rinse the roller assembled takes much more time. The main annoyance point was with switching paints (primer to paint or one color to another, for example) - naturally it requires meticulous cleaning, but then there is too much water in the machine, roller frame and the roller itself, so even after fully priming with paint (to the point of working the trigger with the roller removed until only thick paint came out) you would still get a lot of water from the roller on the wall until the actual paint started rolling. Waiting for everything to fully dry resolves this problem, but sometimes it's not realistic to way that long. Other than that, the swivel joint leaked unless tightened so much that it stopped swiveling, but I didn't find the swivel helpful anyway, and actually preferred it stiff, both for walls and ceilings. Overall, I liked this roller a lot. It's much easier to paint large areas this way, typically making cutting the bulk of the work, and not the rolling (taking less than half an hour to fully roll a typical bedroom, and about an hour to roll 2 gallons of paint on a large room). The extension pipe makes it easy to roll floor to ceiling (with 8' ceilings, at least). I felt that rolling with this was somewhat more physically demanding than regular rolling, mainly because you never stop rolling (which gives you a break from the repetitive motion) but also because of the extra weight and bulk of the hose feeding the roller.
