This replacement made it good as new. I have the travel mug and the filter has to fit perfectly to keep the grounds out of the coffee. Our Coffee double micro-filters are 9 and 12 times finer than the standard French press filters, and they're designed to filter out small coffee particles. The tea filter is great for targeting larger particles like loose tea leaves. Both the coffee and the tea filters have a silicone lip that goes around the top of the filter, and once pressed down, it creates a separation between the volume of brewed coffee/tea in your press, and the grounds/leaves at the bottom below the filters.
