## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the difference between x3 and the previous generation of temperature and humidity sensor?**
A: More accurate sensors, better data logging, including storing up to 64,000 events while offline and syncing to the cloud when online, and more frequent refresh and recording. All sensors have parameters for when to refresh, depending on if ambient conditions have changed, but while the other sensors have a maximum of 1 hour between refreshes (if conditions did not already change enough to justify a refresh) this sensor can be set to refresh every 10 minutes, regardless of activity. The battery life on this sensor is better, too, going 2-3 years between battery changes. It takes two AA batteries. Use lithium batteries if you plan to put this in a fridge, freezer or really cold or hot environment (like an attic or garage) but note this is an indoor sensor. **Q: Is a subscription required?**
A: No subscription required.  In fact, I can't even figure out how to subscribe were I so inclined,    I can view 6 months of data points, but the stored sampling rate is only 1/hr..  Apparently a sub can increase that rate - but how to sub??

**Q: Is this three separate units for three separate refrigerator/freezers?**
A: X3 is a series only, it is a more advanced product that we develop versus the original indoor temp humidity sensor. It includes one unit. Thanks!

**Q: can i access the data directly from local network?**
A: Data can be accessed through the app, of course, and through the cloud, via PAC (personal access credentials) for non-commercial applications and via our API for commercial applications.
