Other than using it to know what will be asked on the checkride, you will most likely need to reference it when talking about the instrument proficiency check (IPC). I was asked this on my checkride, it shows you what you need to do to complete an IPC and when you would need one (that is something that needs to be memorized anyhow, but this shows the individual tasks which you can show the examiner to help boost your answer). Passed on the first try. No complaints.

It's a PTS.. You need this for your checkride.
