## Description

The Chemjet Tree Injector is a spring-loaded syringe-like device, with a 20mm tapered nozzle. The chemical is drawn through the nozzle into the chamber of the injector in measured 10, 15 or 20ml quantities. The injector handle is pulled back to energize the spring pressure can be locked open at 20 ml by twisting the handle in a clockwise direction. Holes are drilled into the tree using a 11/64 bit to a depth of about one inch, and the Chemjet nozzle is pressed into the hole by hand (no hammering) to make a tight seal. Note: you do not have to twist while inserting! While holding the Chemjet in place, the red handle is pulled back slightly then turned counterclockwise to allow the spring pressure to inject chemical into the tree. The injector is then left unattended to inject at a steady low pressure of about 20 PSI which does not damage the inner bark layers, and allows discharge of chemical into the xylem at a rate that is accommodated by the natural capacity of the tree to accept more liquid.

Review: very usefull and effective - This injector worked very well for me. Being in an area with the destructive oak root fungus, other less targeted treatments are less effective, need much more chemicals, have problems of over-spray, etc. Hiring a pro is great but cost a fortune. This injector worked flawlessly. My best advice would be to be sure to get your chemicals right and watch Chemjets videos on YouTube, use the correct size drill bit. I was able to successfully treat my trees with this syringe. I only purchased one so it took a little longer but the syringe stood up through many injections. I was skeptical about how it would hold up twisting a plastic tipped syringe into tree wood but it has shown (so far) no sign of damage. it takes a bit of muscle to load the syringe, but was doable. When you are done using it, the syringe has tabs that you release and take the syringe apart to clean and treat with silicon spray to prevent damage from the chemicals. That was also easy to do. This is a good tool and because it was affordable, I was able to do the job myself
Review: Worked great! - The product is of good quality and worked great for me. I drilled the prescribed holes and it when it perfectly. I had no problems with it and will use it again in Spring when my trees begin to come out of hibernation.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long does it take to inject 20 ml?**
A: The time depends on the tree, the time of year, and what is being injected. I have seen times from less than a half hour to more than a day.

**Q: How many injectors are included? The photo shows 2.**
A: 1 injector.

**Q: How much does it hold is there marks to measure the dose**
A: Yes there are measure on the side and the max is 25 which I would assume is ml.

**Q: Can this be used to kill invasive ivy?**
A: The trunk needs to be at least two inches in diameter. A hole is drilled in the trunk and the injector placed tightly in the hole and left in place for the liquid being injected to be slowly taken up by the tree.

### ⭐ Buyer Beware You Might Need to Open it up
*by M***. on August 21, 2018*

2 out of the 3 that I ordered have a significant flaw. The plunger that pushes the liquid fertilizer into the tree have dislodged inside the injector. I fixed it by opening up the injector and putting epoxy on base of the plunger and letting it cure for 48 hours. So far it works but for $30 per injector I expect them to work much better. I ordered 2 of these a year ago and they had no problems Update: Now all three have the same problem. After I epoxied the 1 injector it also came loose VERY DISSAPPOINTED. Surprising since the first batch I ordered a year ago worked flawlessly
