I now have a turbo oil pressure regulator and using two of these on either side worked perfectly for my application. They appear well made and got the job done nicely. Review: Using this for my brake line and it's fine - I'm using the 18 inch long hose for my brake lines and I currently have it connected to a 3/16" steel brake line and I only have one clamp securing this Allstar hose somewhere halfway between the hose. Is it DOT approved? Who knows but all I care about is if it works or not. You obviously shouldn't tighten the AN hose with your almighty strength and you obviously do not need any sort of teflon tape or thread sealant at all. You only tighten the AN fitting until your open end wrench can't go any further and then you stop. I'm on manual brakes, have driven at least 50 miles so far both on the highway + local city with this hose, and no problems so far. Of course, there will be some hoses that are lemons due to the manufacturer's fault and some hoses that are fine.
