When putting it on the chair, you need to open the person behind's tray table and then close it on top of it. Aside from seeing the belt when they open their tray table, they shouldn't have any issue. Very easy to use, it pushed her down a little in her seat so I can’t inagine using it for long periods of time but happy with it and it suited the purpose well.
