Review: Does exactly what it needs to do... - Bought the big 1L bottle of wood glue ahead of doing a shelving build; my main needs were to laminate two 18mm MDF sheets together to form stronger, thicker boards for the main shell of the shelves, to avoid sagging and to have a chunkier look. I used the Gorilla wood glue, applied sufficiently and spread around so that the full contact area was lightly covered, and tightly clamped together. (For good measure I also drilled holes to take wooden dowels for additional strength for any lateral movement ahead of achieving a full bond.) Having allowed about 24 hours for the glue to bond fully, I am pretty confident that the glue bond is stronger than the MDF it is applied to, and after some sanding of the edges it's quite difficult to tell that the laminated board is anything other than a nice chunky 36mm thick board. My other use will be to glue the horizontal shelves into the routed dados (approx. 10mm deep in each laminated 36mm vertical) and I'm sure they'll be very stable when done. So, the glue works, it's easy to use, you get a decent amount for a fair price, it doesn't leak, seems strong when set (allow 24hrs) and meets all the expectations of a decent wood glue, so it gets the thumbs up from me.

**Q: Is it white when dry?**
A: Hi Paulina, No it dries to a light brown/creamy opaque type of colour, definitely not white though, I used it to glue Oak panels over existing newel posts on a staircase and clamped these tight together and wiped any excess glue off and once dried I sanded the joint and there's absolutely no trace of the glue, it's rock solid and couldn't fault the strength of this glue - 5*

**Q: Anybody know if its good for Balsa? wood**
A: Yes this will stick ANY form of wood to wood together only,  its not instant glue but it is extremely strong, if you want to pull it apart again after it is dry u will break the wood in another place before breaking the bonded area guaranteed.

**Q: Is this glue OK for outside use in all weather conditions?**
A: What it says and how it performs are completely at odds. I used it on three projects, all dowelled and glued and all three have come apart. I regret using this glue and especially after I watched a YouTube video comparing glues where Gorilla was the worst on test.

**Q: I'd like to glue wooden slices to the opening of a blocked up fireplace. Would that work? (Wood on stone)**

This is a good product. It is strong and long lasting, plus it dries quickly. It is versatile as it works on most materials,-like plastic, but is best on wood. It is also waterproof, and and is not noticeable on the things you use it on. It is quite messy however as it leaks very quickly so you will have to make sure you position what you are glue correctly. This is a good product overall and would recommend.
