## Description

The FEIDER 250mm Planer/ Jointer is a great tool to have in your workshop. It is good for all types of woodworking and A good machine for a home workshop where there is a need for a medium-sized planer thicknesses. The body and tables are constructed from rigid steel and Aluminium castings and the stand from heavy duty steel sheet, all of which give a very solid feel to the machine. The 250mm wide blade planer block is driven by a 1.5kW motor and will prove more than adequate for the majority of applications. Among the additional features which make this machine such good value for money is the large table area that comes with it. FEIDER are very proud to introduce this machine and with that it comes with a full 2 year warranty.

Review: Overall I am happy with the machine - UPDATE (May 2018): I have been using it for a while and it is very good. I managed to keep the in-feed table stable and the fence a bit vertical. It serves the purpose very well. For the price it is a reasonable purchase. I had to buy new blades because I managed to take some pallet wood with some nails in them and they ruined the blades. After some research I realised that the blades for other brands work for this one too. Though, the blades are on the more expensive side compared to smaller size thickesser planers. Setting it up wasn't easy as they are shown on youtube. Eventually managed to develop my own method to set it up and it works very well now. ---------------------------------------------- Overall I am happy with the machine. I bought this on the xmas sale on desertcart Warehouse deals. I am a bit dissapointed with the condition of the machine since there was no detail given when I was buying (normally desertcart givers quite detailed and good description of the state of the item). Based on what I read in the description I thought it was in better shape. When it was delivered I opened it and investigated all parts. The internal parts were a bit rusty and it had been used prior to my purchase (I saw chippings underneath the cutter head). I accepted all these but more information about the condition of the machine would have been great. Anyway, this thickness planer is good. I am happy with this. Setting it up was a bit hard in the beginning but if you owned a planer before then it is no brainer. The manual is completely useless (believe me it is piece of s$$t) and you can't find anything on the internet. Try the manuals of other brands they work perfectly well. This is very much the same as the other similar priced machines in the market. Possibly coming from the same factory. There is no difference between this one and Lumberjack pt1000 or Fox fox f22-564-250. The machines are the same and their blades worked with this one. I bought the blades from woodfordtooling web site. The fence is not 100% square and it is not the best but they are all like this. The infeed table is slightly moving. I have to work on this. Overall I am happy with the machine

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall I am happy with the machine

L'appareil est top : lourd donc stable mais attention au déplacement ça peut vous tuer le dos donc prévoir un socle avec roues. Tout fonctionne bien : table bien droite (vérifiée à la regle à maçon), le guide tangue un peu en bout mais bon faut pousser dessus dans les extrémités donc pour des planches ça devrait le faire si on est pas bourrin. La puissance est bien suffisante, les courroies de rechange sont fournies et semble bien large (mon voisin qui a une scheppach n'a pas cette chance et elles cassent très souvent...). Elle fait du bruit OK mais comme toute raboteuse ni plus ni moins (une table de menuisier en fait tout autant). Elle prend des passes de 1mm, j'ai pas essayé plus et ça ne sert à rien mieux vaut prendre sont temps c'est pas une table de menuisier quand même. Par contre la sécurité en mode rabotage est pénible : il faut bien mettre le taquet du système de récupération de copeaux bien contre la paroi latérale, 1mm d'écart et l'autre taquet ne désactive pas la sécurité et la machine ne démarre pas.... c'est chiant, ils auraient du mettre des taquets plus large (celui pour la sécurité est une sorte de picot de 1cm sur 4mm de large). En mode dégauchissage, pas de soucis donc une étoile en moins pour la difficulté du récupérateur de copeaux en mode rabot + la notice faite par un stagiaire... La notice..... qui a pondu une notice comme ça ? certainement pas quelqu'un qui l'a monté ! L'inventaire des pièces contenues dans le carton n'est même pas bon !! Sur la notice, ils indiquent 2 systemes de récuperation de copeaux : un pour le mode degauchissage et l'autre pour le rabotage, mais il n'y en a qu'un qui fait les 2 !!!! De plus dans la notice, rien n'indique où doivent aller la quincaillerie : vis, écrous, plaques... débrouillez-vous !!!! En gros ils indiquent tout ce qui a du sens et que l'on peut trouver soi même : les molettes, le guide parallèle etc mais le reste ben réflechissez... Donc pour les autres : Ecrou frein + rondelle sur la vis qui fait pivot pour la protection de lame, la petite plaque métallique va sur le guide parallèle afin d'empecher qu'en changeant les couteaux, ceux-ci n'aillent sous le guide. Les deux vis + ecrou du guide parallèle prennent donc en étau cette plaque. Le système de copeaux mode dégauchissage sert aussi au rabot, inutile de chercher l'autre dans la carton, il n'y en a pas, il faut le mettre à l'envers vers la sortie du mode dégau et bien mettre le taquet (en demi lune) contre la paroi). Pour réussir à le mettre, il faut ouvrir le rabot à fond et le passer de biais.
